ALENTEJO: SLOW LIVING AT A MICHELIN STAR WINE ESTATE

NOMAD HOME WELLNESS SERIES

NOMAD HOME: WELLNESS SERIES

Nomad Home is thrilled to introduce our wellness series, where we partner with leading Ayurvedic, TCM, spiritual, and longevity practitioners to create deeply restorative experiences that nourish your body, mind, and life for the long term.

Our Alentejo Wellness Retreat unfolds at Herdade da Malhadinha Nova, a Relais & Châteaux estate of 744 hectares in the Baixo Alentejo, ninety minutes south of Lisbon. Vineyards on schist slopes, an olive grove, a Lusitano stud farm, a Michelin Star and Green Star restaurant built on the estate's own organic produce, and the M Wellness Spa, all run by the Soares family.

Three nights to slow down. Morning yoga and meditation among the vines, bread baked the Alentejo way, a body balm made from estate botanicals, olive oil tasted at the source, a ride through the vineyards on horseback, and evenings around the table with the estate's own wines.

Created for founders, creatives and remote leaders who need a real pause, this Nomad Home edition gathers a small, selected group who share your pace and values. You leave rested, fed properly, and with rituals you can keep at home.

Malhadinha Nova: Three Nights in the Alentejo

A Slow, Expert-Led Alentejo Itinerary

Designed with the Estate's Own Team

The programme was built with Malhadinha Nova's wellness, kitchen and winery teams, so every session happens with the people who live it: yoga and meditation led on the estate, bread and cooking workshops in the estate kitchen, olive oil tasted with the family who press it, and a ride through the vineyards with the stud farm's own riders.

Nothing is imported for show. The bread is made from Alentejo wheat, the balm from botanicals that grow on the estate, the oil from the grove you walk through that morning, and the wine from the vines outside your window.

Nomad Home hosts the group throughout, and the estate is ours for the three nights.

A Full Reset in Three Nights

The days follow one rhythm: move in the morning, make something with your hands, eat well, rest in the afternoon, gather in the evening. Yoga and meditation open each day. A traditional bread workshop, a body balm workshop with natural ingredients, and a healthy Alentejo cooking class fill the late mornings. Afternoons are for the spa, a horseback ride through the vines or a picnic by the Ribeira de Terges.

Evenings move between the Michelin Star restaurant, an olive oil and wine tasting at sunset, and a final night under some of the darkest skies in Europe. Throughout, daily ritual products by Twelve Phases weave the practices into your evening, so what you build here comes home with you.

  • Charlotte

    CO-FOUNDER of HANDS London

My favourite thing about Nomad Home is being able to connect with a large group of people from all over the world. I usually make friends slowly but when you spend so much time with a group of people, you become extremely close very quickly. That has been rare in my adult life and something I’ll always treasure. I’ve made friendships that will last a lifetime - we have already planned a few meetups since.

  • Laurie

    FOUNDER of Outsourceful

Running my own business can get lonely and repetitive at times so it was refreshing to be able to travel, cowork, and bounce ideas with a group of founders. Although many of us were from different countries, it was surprising how much we had in common. I’ve been to multiple Nomad Home events now and the London events were a great way to meet people in my home city. There are 4 of us that met that have already set up monthly dinners; we really left as a family.

  • Andrea

PRODUCT MARKETING MANAGER and CONTENT CREATOR

I’ve remote worked for 5 years and found that it’s been difficult to find people that love luxury travel and have a flexible lifestyle. Nomad Home has given me a community to grow together personally and professionally with, when I honestly didn’t realize I could make these deep of connections of my adult life. What’s better is I got to do it while wine tasting and dinner partying.

  • Jesse

CO-FOUNDER of BLA Design Group and FOUNDER of Adessa Visuals

I work a lot, which means I don’t have much time to get away, socialize, or plan travel itineraries. Nomad Home has made it easy for me to just show up, enjoy unique activities and dinner parties that are off the beaten path, and connect with interesting people working on cool projects I would have never met otherwise. It was even better that I got to do all of it while getting my work done.
